Festival of...

November 13-16, 2024

The Center for Interfaith Relations celebrates the timeless wisdom contained in the diversity of the world’s faith traditions, honoring the union between thinking globally and acting locally.

The Center hosts the annual Festival of Faiths, a nationally acclaimed interfaith event of music, poetry, film, art and dialogue featuring internationally renowned spiritual leaders, thinkers and practitioners.

So far in 2024, we’ve…

  • Partnered with Kentucky Interfaith Network on a Food Justice Summit in January and a Summit on Belonging in April.
  • Joined the Sister Thea Bowman Society for Racial Solidarity and the (Un)Known Project for a day of remembrance in February to read the names of 1,630 free and enslaved Black people buried in mostly unmarked graves.
  • Honored the 2024 Grawemeyer Award in Religion winner, Rev. Dr. Charles Halton, with a reception at the Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary following his public talk in March.
  • Invited young writers to participate in our Young Authors Sacred Essay Contest, sharing perspectives on love and its power to transform lives.
  • Featured diverse local faith communities through our Sacred Kaleidoscope blog series, shedding light on the unique ways in which they enrich our city.

Coming soon, we’ll be…

  • Hosting another in our series of “Faith-Ins” in partnership with Louisville Public Media and Louisville Magazine.
  • Collaborating with the Muhammad Ali Center on its exhibit, “Seeing the Other: Sacred Listening & Portraits of Faith.”
